If your WordPress site has not been regularly maintained, your site may have outdated components. These outdated components can be vectors for attack by hackers and malware and may also prevent you from being able to update core-WordPress or may be incompatible with updates to your server software (like the Apache or Nginx server or PHP interpreters) that improve security, performance, and your users’ experience.
A One-Time Site Maintenance cycle will do the following:
- Create and provide you with Archival Backups, both before and after the update
- Do a comprehensive security review of your site
- Apply all available plugin and theme updates
- Update core-WordPress to the most recent known secure version
- Provide Recommendations on how the site performance, security, and function may be improved.
NOTES:
- If you have expired or out-of-date licenses for any installed plugins or themes, you will be responsible for acquiring valid licenses.
- Over time, some developers go out of business or retire products and compatible updates are unavailable requiring additional custom coding, replacement of plugins and content containers, and/or substantial recoding of the site with a new template that is supported and compatible. Should these situations arise, we will propose solutions at additional cost.
- In order to perform this maintenance we will need an Administrator Login to your site’s backend and may also need an Administrator Login for your server account.
- These operations are normally completed in seven business days.
