MySalesButler.com, LLC is honored to be a key sponsor of GoCodeCO. GoCodeCO is a competition promoted by the State of Colorado to build useful and innovative apps using Colorado public data with, a $25,000 prize to the winner.
Starting April 1st, teams from 5 cities across the state competed against other teams in their region in a Start-Up weekend style event. The Top 2 teams from each city won a place at the GoCodeCO Finals starting May 26th, 2016.
The finalist teams have been able to get access to resources and mentors to further their development and add to their skill set inventory. As part of our sponsorship of the competition, we have been able to provide mentoring and best-in-class web development resources to the participants alongside our partner MozaicTech.com.
Each team participating in these Start-Up weekend events in April has the specific focus of making Colorado public data useful and accessible to its users. Using this data, teams dreamed up Apps for tourism, business analytics, communication, startup resources, food sourcing, etc. You can check out the finalists here and see what innovative ideas they hatched.
The ability to have access to this data allows companies to better understand the citizen and business landscape in Colorado, and to put that information to better use. We paid for the collection of this data, and the progressive leaders created this program for the benefit of the taxpayers. This is a great example of why government can help businesses without additional costs.
